こんにちは！アメリカ出身のセスです。
2013年からIECで英語を指導し、たくさんの子どもたちが自信を持って英語を学べるようサポートしてきました。
📖 日本との出会い
2011〜2012年：名古屋外国語大学に留学
日本の文化や食べ物、人々の温かさに魅了される
アメリカで大学を卒業後、すぐに再来日
IECに加わり、以来ずっとチームの一員として活動
🎓 教師としての経験
教え始めた頃はまだ経験が浅かったものの、研究と工夫を重ねてきました。
子どもたちが楽しめる授業づくり
英語を**「使える英語」**として身につける指導
間違いを恐れず挑戦し、自信を育てるサポート
💡 教育に対する思い
自分自身の留学経験から、語学を学ぶ難しさと楽しさを知っています。だからこそ、子どもたちにはこう伝えたいです。

👋 About Me
Hello! My name is Seth, and I’m originally from the United States.
I’ve been teaching English at IEC since 2013, helping children grow in confidence and skill through fun, engaging lessons.
📖 My Journey to Japan
2011–2012: Studied abroad at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies
Fell in love with Japan’s culture, food, and people
Returned to the U.S. to complete my degree, then came back to Japan right away
Joined IEC and have been part of the team ever since
🎓 Teaching Experience
When I first started, I was young and learning myself. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to:
Develop effective and enjoyable lessons
Help students use English naturally, not just memorize phrases
Encourage kids to make mistakes, try again, and grow in confidence
💡 My Teaching Philosophy
I know from personal experience that learning a language can be tough. But with encouragement and fun, kids can achieve amazing things!
Every child has unique potential
Mistakes are a stepping stone to success
The goal is confidence, curiosity, and joy in using English
